I REALLY need to...

Update the blog. Things have been pretty busy around these parts.

Recently:
* For the last week I've been sick, coughing up a lung and blowing my nose constantly...I finally went to the doc and I have an upper respiratory infection and ear infection...bleh. And of course, just as I am starting to get better, Matt is starting to not feel so well...I feel so bad I got him sick

*Congrats to my sis Cassie-today was State Drill and Lone Peak took 4th overall. She did awesome! and made the All-State and All-Region teams. Good job sis!

* I got promoted at work to take over supervisor of the accounting dept (the current supervisor is having a baby) ... but in order to take the job I have to work a min of 30 hours a week...so that's what I'm doin while goin to school full time....hence the main reason the blog has been neglected and will prob not be getting much attention in the next couple months

* Matt's foot is basically all healed and well....he is running in a pool that has a treadmill on the bottom so he can get used to running again and make sure he is doin it right and will then move to an actual treadmill and then to normal running during practice .... and yes he has still had to work out/practice this whole time he's been healing - which means 6:00 a.m. weightlifts (we have a pretty pic of his foot a week after the surgery I need to put up)

*We got an awesome headboard for $20

*We've got tons of fun pics and stories from Disneyland and Vegas and other random stuff that has happened...lots and lots of updating and flashbacks to go through...but for now here's a tad bit of insight into our lives. Hopefully I'll get a moment to update all that has gone on.

Happy Anniversary!

6 months! Time has just flown....in a good way of course. I think it's the same for Matt, but I have just absolutely loved being married! The longer we're together the more similarities I see between us rather than differences. We truly are meant for each other-I couldn't imagine someone more perfect to be married to. Matt is awesome. He's by my side when I need him and helps out around the house too. He'll go anywhere with me and listens to all my boring work stories everyday without telling me to be quiet. It's hard to put into words everything that he does for me and how happy I am that he is my hubby for now and always. He sent a beautiful arrangement of flowers to my work on Friday-He's super sweet like that.
Unfortunately, this weekend was spent with me sick, coughing up a lung...not quite how I had imagined it. But even so, Matt has taken care of me and even made me breakfast in bed this morning.

We did make it to Tucanos Friday night with some friends, Shane and Carrie. It was a lot of fun, but I managed to get more sick from then on out. Anyways, it has been a great 6 months and I'm looking forward to numerous years we have ahead of us! Love you Matt!

Football catch up

Pic from back in the day of BYU playing Utah

Matt had an awesome year as a red-shirt freshman this season. His sack at the end of the UNLV game was #8 of the top ten plays for BYU's season! Great Job Hubby!!

Matt's surgery

So Matt had surgery on his foot bright and early yesterday morning.

The surgery went fine. They took out the nerve/neuroma and then they also happened to find a treacherous (I can't remember if
that's what he called it) artery in his foot and ended up taking that out too. The surgery itself only took about 45 min. When he came
out of anesthesia he kept asking me if he could go back asleep about 50 times and then would get mad and confused when I
kept telling him no. He relayed the story of the anesthesiologist giving him the anesthesia twice and how he liked it and wanted
me to go get the anesthesiologist to give him some more and knock him out again. He kept asking me if his toes were going to
fall off and would sound shocked everytime I told them that they wouldn't. And he quoted from The Office - "I have a protuberance on my foot. I stepped on a George Forman grill and now I have a protuberance on my foot but they fixed it so now I'm all fixed"

He's been on the couch since with his legged propped up on pillows...he can't walk on it for about 3 days and then has to be careful for another week and a half and so on and so forth. So our New Years consisted of sitting on the couch and watching 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Matt doesn't really like having to be stuck on the couch all day long but it'll all be worth it when his foot won't hurt him anymore. He's been a really good sport with the whole thing

Happy New Years Everyone!!

A Note from Vegas

So we've had a way fun week despite the ending to yesterday's game but we still had a good time. This is just a quick check in and I definitely have even more to catch up on when we come back. We went to church today with Heather and her fam....here's a conversation that went on between Matt and Will during sacrament:

Matt-What does the bread mean?
Will-Cause Jesus ate bread
Matt-Oh, why do we drink the water?
Will-I don't know, cause we need to stay healthy

I thought it was pretty funny.....we had a dinner filled with Algers....way yummy.

We exchanged some presents....from my brother, we got a Wii remote that comes with another 8 games...we are super excited! Thanks Jimmy!

Which leads me to the presents Matt/me received from the Las Vegas Bowl:
* Wii
* Oakley watch
* $300 gift card to the mall
* new nike shoes
* nike shirt
* football signed by all the team
* 2 fancy pens

We also received our Christmas present early from Matt's parents to help us out on our Disneyland trip!! We are super grateful! Thank you Greg and Becky!!

We have been very spoiled this week with all the free meals and entertainment.....and I have totally loved it!! It has been so enjoyable to get away from school and work and all of its stresses! We look forward to more fun this week!! Tune in next time (entry) for more details....Toodles!

Behind

So life is crazy at the moment and will continue to be for awhile now.   I guess this post is for me to remember everything I need to write about that I haven't yet and so on and so forth.  I still need to catch up on the BYU v. Utah game (matt has a great pic I need to post), Thanksgiving, our adventure at Smith and Edward's on our way back home from Brigham City, our first Christmas decorations, the ward Christmas party, my company Christmas party and our winnings. Upcoming events that are keeping us so busy: Matt and I leave with the football team next Tuesday morning/afternoon to go to Vegas for the Bowl game...and finals week is of course next week so we are at the moment cramming to negotiate taking finals early and studying our little hearts out...can't wait for the different presents the team gets and all the fun things they have planned for us to do while we're down there.  We'll be staying down there after the game to have an early Christmas at Disneyland the following Monday and Tuesday with my sis, Heather, and her clan along with my bro. Michael (possible other family members will be joining).  We fly back to Utah on Christmas Eve and will then be spending Christmas with both sides hopefully.  Phew....lots to do and lots to write about...as for now........we're takin a break from blogging for awhile, that's all folks!
