Blogging

I've been shamefully bad at blogging this summer and then some. And now fall is basically here and I have no idea how time went by so fast. I seriously write blog posts in my head while I'm at work and wandering around our apt cleaning and cooking but I never get around to actually typing them and uploading the pictures ... and after trying to remember my mind posts after so long, I get sick of them and don't even want to blog them anymore. Story of my life.

So ... I'm going to try and be better. We'll see how long this lasts.

Matt and I had lots of fun of the summer...we were hardly ever home. It didn't even feel like summer most of the time ... I was (and am) still working 9-6 everyday and stuck inside at my desk while the sun was shining outside, but Matt got to be at work with me every afternoon once his morning weightlifting was done. We tried to engulf summer in the few hours we had after getting home from work after 6 so we went to lots of movies and restaurants and baseball games and golfing and anything else that involved being together but not at our place (which is kinda funny cause we LOVE our new condo ... it's the best).

And now .... FOOTBALL has started! 2 games down already! It felt so surreal being at the first home game and watching Matt playing with the sun beating down on my face. It just doesn't feel like it's September. It's Matt's junior year on the team and in case you haven't gotten the memo - he's a new number - #41! I'm still getting used to it and it's weird to see another player wearing 57 - I feel like he shouldn't be allowed to wear it cause it was Matt's number. ha. I've got pics to put up of all of Matt's bruises that have been covering his body these days.

And school has of course started. Weird. Matt's going full-time and I'm part-time taking classes online with Independent Study. Like I said ... it should not be September yet.

I'm FINALLY 21! Not that it really means anything cool when you're a mormon .... now I can drink and gamble and smoke .... OH WAIT ... I don't and wouldn't do any of those things anyways. Oh shucks. I'll go drop $20 in a slot machine in Vegas next time we're down just because I can.

I'll try to be back quickly to post all the hundreds of pictures we've taken this summer and actually update on what's really been going on in our lives. Who knows though ... it may end up Thanksgiving or Christmas and anyone of you reading this will know just about what you know now....ha....sucker. Just kidding ... thank you for reading and being genuinely interested in our lives. :)

2 YEARS

2 Years ago July 25th this happened:
So ... this is how we celebrated such a momentous occasion ...
Started off with breakfast here:
And then ...
Can you tell we're excited to be here:
After a long day of twists and turns and ups and downs and g-forces this way and that .... we crashed in this awesome hotel:
And woke up the next morning to go here:
And then went to see this awesomeness:
And then went to eat this wonderfulness:
And then back to the hotel

We had a blast with our quick little getaway celebrating our last 2 wonderful years together. I've come to realize the hand of God in our lives so much more on a daily basis and in the whole of our lives. There have and will continue to be things happen in our lives where we need each other. God brought us together for so many reasons and we've needed each other in so many ways and for so many reasons. I'm so lucky to have Matt for my hubby. Thanks for making these last 2 years the best of my life! Love you!

Transmodification Central

Our bedroom makeover is COMPLETE! And we are loving it ... only problem is it makes me want to redo our other rooms. We had tons of fun shopping around for everything and picking out just what we wanted. I'm so lucky Matt likes to do all that sorts of stuff of shopping and decorating with me.

So here's the BEFORE picture again -

And Transformation!

The panels/curtains are different tracks on the ceiling so we can move the panels however we want and make different patterns or open them all up and let the sun shine through

I do still want to put up some more pictures of us but I'm planning on repainting some frames we already have so that may take some time. But all in all .... I'm quite proud of how it turned out and it's such a peaceful room now.

Time for Change

I wanted to prove to myself that I still have spunk. So I chopped 18 inches off my hair and dyed it.
Before - we didn't take a real before picture picture

Here's a video of all of it being chopped off:

Memorial Day Ventures

We had all sorts of adventures over Memorial Day weekend. We went up to a cabin in Fruitland with some of the other football wives Friday and Saturday. I shot a gun for the first time, Matt shot a pistol for the first time. We played games, ate lots of food, and went off-roading in a Ranger.
I can't remember what we did on Sunday ... we'll pretend it was something super cool and tons of fun.
Monday we went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens and just enjoyed the scenery and being with each other. Matt went golfing with one of his coaches later that day.

We took about a bajillion pictures ... I don't think these are even half of them.
And there's lots more coming - we've done tons of stuff and taken a million pictures. Lets see how fast I can get all of it blogged.
