i. am. blessed.

I had one of those wake up calls as I was driving home from work today. I am so blessed and I have been so ungrateful these last few days. I have so much more than I could have asked for in my life right now ... I would have never guessed this would be my life if I saw it 5 years ago.

I'm married.
And to the most amazing man.
I have a great job with great bosses and fun coworkers.
My family is wonderful and that includes my in-laws too.
We're surrounded by incredible people.
We're pretty financially stable ... I think.
At least enough that we can afford an upgrade to a bigger/nicer place to live.
Both our families live close by ... for the most part.
I'm surrounded by things of greatness - cars, scooter, internet, electricity, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, showers, movies, and the list goes on and on.
The Lord has blessed me with so much and I have everything to be grateful for. Life is good.

I've taken a lot for granted these last few days and my sweet husband has been so patient with me. So even if I'm doomed to live the rest of my life with a bad back that drives me to my limits and pinches nerves whenever it feels like - I have so much more to be thankful for and more support than I could have ever asked for.

I'm committing to trying to be more positive and recognize my blessings more often than not. Thank you to my sweetheart for standing by me and everything you do for me. Thank you family and friends for all your support and love.

UNLV

I'm attempting to catch up while Matt is taking a nap.
Flashback to the game against UNLV last season. I drove down with my little bro Bobby and stayed with Heather, my older sis. It was such a fun short weekend to spend with fam and have a little getaway ... I'll create another post with pics of our adventures. And all these pics are courtesy of her ... I think I forgot my camera or at least hers was much better than mine so I let her take all the pics.

I love this pic cause it looks like he's staring at the camera ready to pounce or something
My niece and nephew were so cute at the game and got so excited when anything happened ... I think this was the first time we scored

Punt Team ... I wouldn't want to run towards them ... that's for sure

and they made signs ... so cute and funny

Me, Pammie, Billy, Will, Bobby
This is all of us waiting for Matt to come out of the locker room
Good times

It's OFfiCiaL!

We're moving the beginning of April! Not far or anything ... just kinda upgrading ... I would say where but this blog isn't exactly private.
I'm really gonna miss our ward and our primary kids the most ... I'm already getting sad about it but I know this is where we're supposed to go.
So .... when you don't see many posts from me in the next little while - that's why ... we've (mostly Matt) have already started packing and we've got a busy month ahead of us.

AND ....

Matt is #41 .... no more #57 ... it was all his decision because he said he's not the same person as when he began playing for BYU ... the reason for 41 is a mix between 44 and 91 - the jerseys his brothers Jeff and Nate wore while they were playing college ball (which I think is pretty cool).
Not really sure what to do about our blog name ......

The New Year

Lets see if I can remember everything that's happened since the beginning of the year:

Movie making - Matt starred in his first film "Farewell to Brotherhood" (it's still in the process of being edited ... by my bro Michael)
Flat Tire
Our parked truck was rear-ended
Matt was addicted to Farmville ... he's moved on now
The usual: football, school, work
The Office, Biggest Loser, American Idol
New DSLR Camera that we love
New dressers
Valentine's getaway
Matt has finished the following books and then some: Angels and Demons, The Davinci Code, a Clive Cussler one, the Hunger Games, Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2), I think half of one of the Harry Potter's, Percy Jackson's Lightning Thief, half of Surround Yourself of Greatness, and currently reading the Runaway Jury and Sea of Monsters.... he might need to add some too
Brother-in-Law Jeff and his son from Alaska came in town and we had a mini-Putnam reunion
Met one of my nephews for the first time (Jeff's son Johnny)
Oh boy this is a lot harder to remember than I thought it would be ... I'm sure there's more that's happened but I have no memory right now

I Choo Choo Choose You

Best. Valentine's. Ever.
Matt gets all the credit. We stayed overnight at the Invited Inn Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed a day in Midway/Heber ... nice dinner at the Homestead, Ice Castles, Heber Creeper, out to lunch, just spending time together. This is the place to go for a relaxing romantic getaway - we'll definitely be back. It was just what we needed. Every room has a sauna for 2, steam shower, and huge jetted tub - the bathroom was basically the same size as the bedroom and the people who run the place are adorable. He made fresh german pancakes for breakfast .... mmmm ... I've become obsessed with them (I think I've made them 3 or 4 times in the last week).
P.S. The pics aren't quite in order

What we woke up to - it snowed all night
Our room ... can you say princess?

In the sauna

Zermatt Ice Castles:

On the train (kinda out-of-order)

Back in the room
"Hello?" .... oh wait this is the bathtub

Heber CREEPER
We were having fun with our camera
Deep thinking

I see your wonky eye and give you ...
this!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S
